West Farm Corn Maze

Shorter days bring the corn maze
From 9 foot corn to 1 foot hay
Pet the sheep, the goats, and even cows too.
Well, what do you know, did that cow just moo?

Grab a pen and a stamp
Before you go tramp
Down the long, dusty trail
In a heroic tale

Turn left and turn right
Before it turns night
For there's ghosts in them hills
Waiting to give you thrills

'Round the bends in the trail
You slowly turn pale
'Neath the stars in the sky
As they come nearby

You twist and you turn
As your heart starts to yearn
For your lovely warm home
As the ghosts start to moan

When you turn to run,
You spot a loved one.
Waiting for you
'Fore they bid "adieu"

The wind picks up speed
And you start to leave
Pausing a second
The ghosts start to beckon

"Come closer," they say
"We just want to see,
If you really decay
Like the bark on a tree"

In disgust you run
You run far away
Toward the midnight sun
And the light of day

You think as you go,
"Just a short time ago
I was followed and haunted
And yet stood undaunted"

From the spooks of that night
You felt such delight
As you stumbled with fear
You said, "Be back next year"
